Paul was born in Svendborg, Denmark in 1941. He was the oldest of six children. He passed away peacefully at Lompoc Skilled and Rehab, under the wonderful care of assisted hospice and the caring nurses and CNA's who all attended to his needs during this difficult time, on March 24, 2022. Paul arrived in the United States in 1951. He proudly became a U.S. Citizen in 1985.

He worked with his dad at Jensen's Danish Bakery for many years and really enjoyed their close relationship. He worked 31 ½ years at VAFB, in private security for California Plant Protection, Wells Fargo, Burns, Pinkerton, and Securitas. For many of the 31 ½ years, he worked as a security manager. He took his job very seriously, took pride in his work, and was so proud to be a part of VAFB.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ellen, and his brother Sonni. He leaves behind four siblings, his faithful companion of 26 ½ years, Janet, and longtime baker friend of many years, Flemming. He also leaves behind his many co-workers and friends at VAFB, neighbors at Palms and Bay Laurel apartments.

Janet cherished Paul with all her heart. Paul, now you can rest with no pain.

A memorial service for Paul will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 1 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel, officiating Pastor Joe Byrd from Bethany Lutheran church. Inurnment to follow at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
