Paul Felix Pina, age 69, passed away at his home on the morning of May 6, 2018.  His family was at his side.  Paul was born in Santa Monica CA and spent several years of his youth living and attending school in Venice CA.  While in Venice he loved playing baseball.  He moved to Santa Barbara at 17 years of age.  He was a fun-loving brother and son who had many friends who became family to our family.  He was a jokester and poked the eyes of his siblings and bopped their heads –all in fun. He was so proud of his Cherry Red Chevy Belair car that he loved to cruise in with his friends.  Paul was lovingly called "Pudgie" by his mother and siblings. It was in Santa Barbara that he met the love of his life Lydia B. Paz.  They married in 1977 and remained married until her passing on April 18, 2018.

Paul leaves behind 2 children, Paul Jr and Monica, and several stepchildren, Renee, Aureliano, and Lydia Murillo.  Paul was a doting father and grandfather and leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Nadia, Zackary, Paul, Duke and Raya and one great grandson Nicolas.  Wherever you saw Paul you can bet he had one of his grandchildren with him.  Their bond was one of love and happiness with grandpa Paul or "Poppa", which Nadia lovingly called him. His grandchildren remember how he would bring home frogs and turtles and play red light-green light with them and grandma Lydia. He is also survived by his mother Eloise Pina of Lompoc, brother Mark Pina and sisters Susie Gomez, Jackie Pina and Anna Garcia.  He is preceded in death by a sister Dolores Pina Garcia and brother Jimmy Roman.  He has many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and step brothers and sisters who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Friday May 18 at 4pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, 123 North A Street, Lompoc .  A memorial will be held on Saturday at noon at Miguelito Park.

Until we see you again brother, dad, grandpa and son.  We love you Pudgie.
