Obituary
Services for Paul W. Ziesche, 86, of Lompoc, will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2007 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary with Msgr. John Fitzgerald of Queen of Angels Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
A native of Lompoc, Mr. Ziesche was born March 16, 1921 to Walter and Marie Masson Ziesche. He attended local schools and graduated from Lompoc Union High School. Paul was a longtime farmer/rancher and in later years worked for the Santa Barbara County Flood Control District. His pleasure of life was the love he shared with his family.
He died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Convalescent Care Center.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ann Leck of Ashton, Idaho; sons, Walt Ziesche of Reno, Nev., Paul Ziesche of Central Point, Oregon, and John Ziesche of Atascadero; sister, Madeleine Evans of Lompoc; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Katherine Ruffner Ziesche in 1995, and son, Bill in 1968.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Marian Foundation Hospice Program, 504 E. Plaza Dr., Santa Maria 93454 or a charity of choice.
