Pauline Garner, 86, a resident of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Friday February 14, 2014. She was born on July 25, 1927 in Glenwood, AR to the late George and Callie Tackett. Pauline resided in Chattanooga for the past three years, coming from Lompoc, CA. She was of the Baptist Faith and served as church secretary at Landmark Missionary Baptist in Lompoc for over 40 years. She was a teacher at Hapgood Elementary School in Lompoc for 20 plus years.


In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Vance Garner. She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Bruce Garner (Lee) of Chattanooga, TN, sister Ruth Horn of Houston, TX, granddaughter Brittany Garner (Noah Pettus), two great grandchildren Luke Pettus and Violet Pettus, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.


The graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, Feb 19, at 10am at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
