Peggy Jean Davis, 90, passed away on December 16, 2020, in Deland, FL. Born in Pope, AL in 1930, Peggy was the second youngest of 9 children who were all raised on a working farm in Pope. At the age of 20, Peggy left the farm for a job in the city of Mobile where she met and later married her beloved soul mate, Kenneth. Kenneth's career in the U.S. Air Force took Peggy and their eventual 3 sons to a variety of interesting posts around the world where the family made many friends and shared wonderful experiences. Kenneth's final assignment with the Air Force was to Vandenberg AFB in Lompoc, CA where the family made their permanent home for 53 years until Peggy relocated to FL in 2017 to be with family.
Peggy cherished her family and her role as a homemaker and caregiver. She also loved her friends, socializing, bowling, flowers, her pets, playing games, shopping, and laughing.
Peggy is survived by her sons Wayne (Val) Phoenix, AZ, Ron (Cindy) New Smyrna Beach, FL, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Peggy is predeceased by her husband Kenneth and her son Tim.
