Rachel Williams of Lompoc died Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at the age of 92.
Rachel was born in Sheridan, Wyoming to Frank and Karen Norcroff. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie. After moving to California she taught kindergarten for many years in Santa Cruz County, a job that she loved.
Formerly of Ben Lomond, she has been a resident of Lompoc since 1988. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church and the Lompoc Valley Republican Women Federated.
Rachel enjoyed golf, watching westerns, Christmas lights and her cat.
Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Leonard "Roy" Williams in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard Norcroff. Rachel is survived by her son and his wife Stephan and Terri Cook of Santa Barbara, her grandson Ian Cook, numerous nieces and nephews including Barbara Bowers of Mesa, Arizona, and many friends.
The visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2014, at 10am followed by a funeral service in the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary at 11am. Interment will be in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
