Rafael Cisneros Sr. passed on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at the age of 50 with his sons by his side after battling an illness for 2+ years. He was born on August 9, 1964, in Santa Barbara, California. He and his family moved to Lompoc in 1989, after moving from Santa Barbara.
His main interests were cars, car shows, music, drawing and being with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed connecting with his friends on Facebook and playing the computer games with them. Rafael always enjoyed a nice cold Slurpee even on a cold winter's day. One of his wishes would be for all of his family and friends to have one in his honor.
He was a wonderful and loving father to his two sons and he adored his grandson, Jesse, who called him Tito (grandfather). He is survived by his oldest son Rafael Cisneros, Jr. of Lompoc; his youngest son Robert (Courtney) Cisneros; his grandson, Jesse A. Cisneros; his parents, Roberto and Maria Cisneros of Santa Barbara; his sister, Maria (Jim) Franzen of Santa Barbara; his nephews Frank (Jeannie) Dominguez Jr. and Julius Dominguez, both of Santa Barbara; and a great-niece, Filisha Dominguez. He was also blessed with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Lawrence Santos celebrating. A continued time of celebration and fellowship will follow at the church reception hall.
