Obituary
Robert W. Blandin of Lompoc died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the age of 85.
Bob was born September 15, 1923 in Sacramento to Howard and Evelyn Blandin. He graduated from UC Berkeley and enlisted in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. In 1949, he married Dorothy Klausman. Bob retired from the Air Force in 1974 after 27 years of service.
Following his retirement, Bob and Dottie settled in Lompoc. Bob became a real estate professional and was an active member of the Village Country Club, homeowner's association, and the Lompoc Elk's Lodge #2274.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie, and his brother Brad. He is survived by his son, Bob and his wife Robin; grandsons, Rob, Chris and Alex; cousin, Stan; nephews Brad and Jon and long time friend Cathie McCready of Arroyo Grande.
Memorial services with military honors will take place on Tuesday, June 16 at 10am at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. Pastor John Reil of Peace Lutheran Church will be presiding. The arrangements are in the care of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
