Robert Emmett Blaschke of Lompoc died Friday, April 26, 2013, at 90 years of age.
Robert was born in Hastings, Nebraska on August 13, 1922. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II from 1943 to 1947. He served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Colonel in 1966.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Patricia B. Blaschke, his children Robert E. Blaschke, Jr. of Springfield, Virginia, Donald D. Blaschke of Lompoc, Janet L. Berry of Niceville, Florida, Sister Susan Blaschke, of Chatsworth, California, Thomas J. Blaschke, Westlake Village, California, Carol A. Blaschke, Lompoc, James A. Blaschke, Santa Maria and Edward A. Blaschke, Santa Barbara, 15 grandchildren; John A. Blaschke, Ann K. Blaschke, Anne M. Blaschke, M. Ellen Blaschke, Curtis Berry, Christopher Berry, Emily Berry, Kathryn E. Blaschke, Alison J. Blaschke, Jason Morin, Jennifer Morin, Joel Morin, Emma J. Blaschke, Olivia J. Blaschke and Benjamin J. Blaschke, four great grandchildren; Lily A. Berry, Jessica N. Berry, Jacob R. Morin and Dustin R. Morin.
The evening vigil with the recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, April 30 at 7:00 pm and the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 1, at 10:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church, where Mr. Blaschke was a parishioner for more than 40 years.
