Robert Dale Culley passed away suddenly March 12, 2012 of an apparent heart attack at the age of 48. Robert was born April 7, 1963 at UCLA Medical Center. For the last approximately 30 years, Robert resided in Lompoc. Robert was a very intelligent, caring young man who always thought of others before himself. He was a hard worker and spent many years working in food service management at a dining facility called "The Breakers" at Vandenberg Air Force Base. He retired early due to health reasons. His greatest joy came from raising his young son "Theo". Tragically, Theo died of smoke inhalation in an early morning fire when Theo's mother left him home alone. Theo was only 7 years of age. Robert of course was grief-stricken and had difficulty recovering from this terrible loss. Robert was a great cook and always appreciated good food. He was also a computer whiz and was frequently working on many computer projects. He will be dearly missed. Robert was preceded in death by his mother Janice Culley, and son Theo Culley. He is survived by his father and step-mother Frank and Pat Culley, brother Bill Culley, sister Elizabeth Culley and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held May 30, 2012 at Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood. In keeping with Robert's wishes, Robert will be buried next to his son "Theo". We will miss them both and remember the happy times.
