Robert W. Garnica, 78, resident of Lompoc, CA. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 18, 2019.

Soon after his graduation from Santa Barbara High School in 1959, he honorably served in the United States Army. He retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons after 24 years and retired from Santa Barbara County Probation after 12 years.

Robert was loved by so many people that miss him dearly. He had a loving heart that he shared with everyone. His family was his life, his purpose, his everything. An avid sports fan, his favorite teams were New York Yankees, USC, and Notre Dame football. He loved camping, fishing, going to the movies, trips to Las Vegas and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jennie, his sons Edward and Robert Jr., his daughters Dolores and Linda along with 9 grandchildren.

A vigil will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 9 am at La Purisima Catholic Church, followed by a funeral mass at 10 am.
