Robert Grant, age 72 went to the waiting arms of Jesus on September 28, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family and his best friend Victor Anderson. Bob was a beloved husband, grandfather, and friend and was devoted to his family. He was a retired Journeyman Iron Worker, Local 433. He loved muscle cars and was a "car guy". He also loved chocolate cupcakes and a good pizza.
Bob grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. and still retained his distinctive Brooklyn accent. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Grant; daughters Allison Marsh and Amy Grant, grandchildren Keane, Robbie and Gillian Marsh, his best friend Victor Anderson, his brother Michael Grant of Levittown, N.Y., his extended family and his cats, Gary and Scooter. Please keep him in your prayers. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at The Village Chapel, 3915 Constellation Rd., Lompoc at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016. In lieu of flowers his family requested that donations be made in his memory to The Village Chapel, 3915 Constellation Rd., Lompoc, CA, 93436.
