Robert David Kasareff of Lompoc died Sunday, August 10, 2008, at the age of 60.
Robert was born August 14, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, to David and Rosalie Kasareff. Following his high school education, he joined the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War. Robert worked in the production department of Coca-Cola, Budweiser, and Miller Brewing, after completing his education at the Santa Barbara School of Business. As a member of the local Teamsters Union, he worked with United Van Lines, North American an Lines, and Anderson Van Lines and Storage in the commercial and residential moving industry.
As a devoted Catholic, Robert was a member of La Purisima Catholic Church. He was a loving husband and father and, additionally, was a dedicated Dodger fan.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda Murray-Kasareff, daughter, Heather Lin Kasareff, numerous relatives, including former Lompoc residents Charles Fields and his family and Donald and Ellen Plano, and numerous friends who will miss him dearly.
The visitation will be on Thursday, August 21, 2008, from 4 to 7 p.m., with an evening vigil at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Father Tom Cook will celebrate the mass of Christian burial on Friday, August 22, 2008, at 11 a.m. at La Purisima Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Robert Kasareff Memorial Fund at the Lompoc branch of the Bank of America.
