Rod Bronson was born on October 07, 1955, to Deforest and Margaret Bronson. Rod passed unexpectedly but peacefully at his home in Lompoc on April 22, 2016.
Rod Bronson was a beloved coach, mentor, and friend. He truly made the world a better and happier place with his smile, his spirit, and his compassion for everyone around him. He was always active, always smiling, and spent a lot of his time giving back to the community. He worked for the Red Cross, coached boys and girls water polo, and coached boys swimming at Lompoc High School.
Rod the pilot, inventor, community volunteer, CPR instructor, swim coach, disaster services volunteer, engineer, good neighbor, caring son, and loving brother was foremost a good friend. Rod was very loved and will be remembered by all his friends, colleagues and family for his passion and enthusiasm in every endeavor as well as his care and compassion for those he served.
Rod is survived by his elderly parents and his brothers Dale and Cary.
A memorial service for Rod will be held at Sunday, May 15, 2016, 2:00 pm at the Lompoc Foursquare Church Connections Building on the corner of C Street and Walnut. All are welcome. Casual attire (aka what would Rod wear) recommended.
