Obituary

Ronald was born May 26, 1946 in Elvins, Missouri to Lloyd and Omilee Ezell Stricklin and died May 16, 2012
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Wilks Stricklin of Lompoc and his parents. Ronald served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968 serving three tours in Vietnam on board the USS Kittyhawk.
He is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Stricklin and Omilee Stricklin both of Lompoc and one granddaughter Kaisja Stricklin also of Lompoc.
He is also survived by his brothers: Leon Stricklin, Chaffee, MO, Vernon Stricklin, Oklahoma, Richard Stricklin, Kentucky, Leroy Stricklin, Lompoc, CA and one sister Janet Olivera, Surprise, AZ
Ron attended Lompoc High School and Hancock College. After serving in the United States Navy he was employed at Johns Manville / Celite Corp. of Lompoc as a maintenance mechanic until his retirement in July 2008. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.
Per Ron's wishes no flowers are requested. Donations can be made to C.A.P.A., 1501 West Central Ave., Lompoc or The Kidney Association.
There will be a "Celebration of Life", Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Miguelito Canyon Park, Lompoc. The family requests you bring your favorite Ron story to share. A bar-b-que will be served starting at noon.
