Rosemary Terrones Razo, 63, passed away June 13, 2012, with her family by her side in Lompoc, California.
Mrs. Razo was born January 16, 1949, in Lompoc, California, to Porfirio and Carmen Terrones.
She met her husband, Rudy Razo, in September 1968 and they married in October 1970, enjoying a loving marriage of 42 years.
Rosemary's life was grounded on a foundation of "family" that reflected through her benevolence and consideration for others. Her simple, yet brilliant view on life allowed her to enjoy every day and battle cancer with grace. She promised her family she would never give up her fight, and she kept her promise. She never complained and even through her battle her family and their well-being were always her main concern.
Rosemary found joy from eating with her family, holding her grandson, and shopping with her sisters. She taught her family that these simple and important activities in life bring about true happiness.
She had a tremendous positive impact on her sons' lives, as well as the people who knew her well. She was modest and loved by many and her contagious positive attitude will always be remembered.
Rosemary was strong and beautiful and has been an inspiration to her family. The strength she had has now been left with her family and this strength will continue to help guide their lives.
Her family expressed that Rosemary has prepared them well for her passing, and because of her they will continue strong in her memory.
Rosemary is survived by her husband Rudy Razo; sons Nicholas and Alejandro; grandson Nicholas; sisters Augustina Rains, Antonia Mondragon, Jaine Hardeman, Judy Hernandez and Nancy Razo; brothers Porfirio Jr., Manuel, Carlos, Fernando, Gabriel, Fidel, Joe, and Luciano; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Porfirio and Carmen Terrones and brothers Richard and Bernardino.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 21 at 10 a.m. at La Purisima Catholic Church. A visitation will take place Wednesday, June 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A rosary will also be held at 6 p.m. on June 20.
