Obituary

Rosendo Robles was preceded in death by his parents, Rosendo and Hortensia Robles; his wife, Hermelinda Robles; and his brother, Michael Robles.

He is survived by his children: his son, Joseph Robles, and wife Brenda Robles; and his daughter, Yvonne Robles, and husband Sequoia Gaunt. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Andrea, Devin, Rafael, Aiven, Braylon, Linda, and Zion.

Rosendo is survived by his siblings: sisters Isabel Cruz and Blanca Robles, and brothers Thomas Robles and Aaron Robles, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Immediately following his high school graduation, Rosendo joined and proudly served in the United States Army. He was deeply proud to serve his country and to be an American.

In his mid-20s, Rosendo began attending Soledad Apostolic Church. A few years later, he met the love of his life, Linda Robles, and they were married for nearly 30 years. After their marriage, they built a life together in Salinas, California. Rosendo became a licensed minister in the Apostolic Assembly Church, where he was heavily involved in preaching and teaching the gospel. He raised his children in the same faith.

Rosendo had a deep love for gospel choir music and especially enjoyed dressing in a suit and tie to attend church.

Throughout his life, he held various jobs in Salinas, California, but his favorite was working as a Heavy Equipment Operator at a landfill in Marina, California—a position he was very proud of. In 2004, he and his wife retired to San Antonio, Texas, where they enjoyed a good life together. Several years later, Rosendo moved back to Lompoc, California, where he lived for over 10 years. His final three months were spent with his daughter, Yvonne, in Fresno, California.

Rosendo was a die-hard Dodgers, Raiders, and Lakers fan, often proudly saying he had supported his teams for over 50 years. He was always the life of the party, known for his endless jokes and warm hospitality. He loved his family deeply and cherished every holiday and special gathering. Rosendo gave endlessly and never expected anything in return.
