ROSIE T. SUAREZ
Vigil services for Rosie T. Suarez, 75, of Lompoc, will be 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. John Fitzgerald officiating.
Rosie was born January 18, 1934 in Santa Maria, California to Bernardino and Augustina Salas Terrones. In her earlier years, she enjoyed taking care of the elderly and helped the Catholic Church in various ways. Her favorite pastimes included knitting and crocheting.
She died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at her home.
Survivors include her sisters, Mary Morales and Josephine Greco both of Lompoc; brother, Charles Terrones of Santa Ana, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Suarez, parents, nine children; sisters, Antonia Ortega and Ramona Morales; brothers, Pedro Porfirio and Manuel Terrones.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 604 East Ocean Avenue, Lompoc 93436.
