Roxie Ann (Day) Barron

March 22, 1944 - June 25, 2022

Roxie Ann Barron went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 25, 2022.  Roxie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold "Doug" Barron, their two daughters, Karri Ann and Jennifer Lynn, her siblings, Linda Bray, Sue Wilson, Andy (Jeannie) Day, Nedra (John) Hudson, Kathy (Michael) Smith, and Tony (Debbie) Day, and sister-in- law, Marla Day, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Roxie is preceded in death by her parents, Hermon and Sally Day, her mother-in-law, Bernice Montooth, her sister Joyce Fagan, brothers, Jack Day and Hoyt Day, brother-in-law, Randy Bray, and nephews, Jack Fagan and Gary Bray.

Roxie was born March 22, 1944, in Brownfield, Texas to Hermon and Sally Day.  She grew up working the family farm before moving to California in 1962.  Roxie met Doug in Port Hueneme while Doug was in the US Air Force, and they married in 1965.  They moved to Lompoc in 1969, with the rest of the family following the birth of their daughter Karri.

Faith and family were central to Roxie's life as her driving force, dedication, and passion. Being the mother to two daughters with special needs, their care, with the support of her beloved husband, Doug, will forever remain her lasting legacy.

Roxie will be remembered for her smart, witty, kind, caring, generous, and loving disposition. Always a source of guidance, support and advice to anyone in need, she was unselfishly devoted to her husband and daughters, her parents, siblings and extended family.  She was one of a kind and will be sorely missed by those who were blessed to have known her.

The memorial service will be Wednesday, July 20, at 2pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TriCounty Regional Center at 1234 Fairway Drive, Suite A, Santa Maria, CA  93455, for the benefit of Karri and Jennifer.
