Roy P. Baca - 10/01/1941 - 10/19/2025
It is with deep sadness that the family of Roy Baca announces his passing. Roy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was defined by love, strength, and an enduring passion for helping others. A lifelong boxing coach, Roy dedicated many years to training and mentoring young athletes. His wisdom, patience, and belief in hard work inspired generations—both in and out of the ring. To those who knew him, Roy was more than a coach; he was a mentor, a role model, and a source of steady encouragement. Roy was the loving husband of the late Shirley Baca, whose memory he cherished deeply. Together, they built a beautiful life and family grounded in love, respect, and faith. He was the proud father of four children—two sons and two daughters. Roy's legacy continues through his 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who will always remember his laughter, his lessons, and his unwavering love. Roy was born in Denver CO. to Anastacio Baca and Florencia Gomez Baca. He had four brothers and four sisters, the lone survivor is his sister Linda. He is also preceded in death by his son Roy Jr. and his great granddaughter Alina. Roy's life was one of purpose, family, and devotion. Whether in the boxing gym or surrounded by loved ones at home, he gave his best to everyone he met. His family and friends will forever carry his spirit in their hearts and remember him as a man of integrity, compassion, and quiet strength. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 15th, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Recreation Center in Lompoc, California. All who knew and loved Roy are welcome to join in honoring his remarkable life and legacy.
