Russell Dennis Norcutt of Lompoc died Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the age of 91.

Russ was born June 22, 1932, in Lucan, Minnesota, one of twelve children born to Leslie and Edna Norcutt.

After joining the United States Army Russ was stationed in Germany where he enjoyed traveling.

After his military service, he married Elise Pankratz.  They initially settled in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.  They relocated to Lompoc in 1960 where Russ was eventually employed by Costal Earth Movers as a heavy equipment operator.

Russ was a faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church where he and Elise helped with the property maintenance and season decorating.  They were also members of local running clubs, enjoying the great outdoors, and participating in marathons around the state and country.

Russ is survived by his wife Elise, his son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Peggy of Port Townsend, Washington, his son Kevin of Lompoc, his son and daughter-in-law Kimber of Central Point, Oregon, four grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.

The memorial service with military honors will be Saturday, September 9, at 1pm at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lompoc.  The private interment will be at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
