At 30 years old, Ryan Lee Vargas went to Heaven on Friday, February 10, 2012. Born September 28, 1981 in Santa Barbara, Ryan was raised in Lompoc where he grew up playing football and baseball. After graduating High School, Ryan joined the Air Force where he served 2.5 years active duty before joining the National Guard. He went on to work at the Lompoc Federal Penitentiary in August of 2008. In his spare time, Ryan loved fishing, playing sports, spending time with his son, and riding his Harley. He is survived by his son, Austyn; mother and father, Carole and Herbert; step parents, Heather, Bruce, Kelly; siblings, Heather, Jake, Jeremy, Parker, Zachary, Brandon, TJ, Cassidy; grandparents, Lupe, Marty, Orvin; his girlfriend, Jen. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandfather Al, his good friend Toni... and his dog Mighty.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, February, 27, 2012 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 500 East North Avenue in Lompoc.
