IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sahara
Quintero
November 25, 1940 – April 25, 2022
Our dear Sahara Quintero went on to paradise on Monday, April 25, 2022. She was born on November 25, 1940, in Michoacan Mexico to Antonio Tamayo and Nicolasa Mireles. She moved to Lompoc in the spring of 1975.
Sahara was an avid homemaker, she always made sure that her whole family was well taken care of. She was an amazing cook her tamales and her menudo were the best on this side of the Rockies, but her most cherished passion was tending to her garden, she loved all sorts of plants as she was awed by their beauty. She will be greatly missed.
Sahara was preceded in death by her beloved husband Salvador, her parents Antonio and Nicolasa as well as her older siblings Jesus, Luis, and Sanjuana Tamayo. Sahara leaves behind her six children; Jesus (Yolanda) Carmela (Lorenzo) Chava (Dawn) Rosalia (Antonio) Aurora (Jose) and Angel, as well as 20 grandchildren, vocally stating that they were all her favorite in their own ways. She also leaves behind 16 very much loved great-grandchildren, her younger siblings Guadalupe and Santiago Godinez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 4-8 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The graveside service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 12 (noon) at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
