Obituary
Samuel Bangaoil passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the age of 64.
Born in Alilem, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Sam was the youngest of seven children. He immigrated to the United States upon graduating from the University of the Philippines. He dedicated a total of 35 years of service to the Department of Defense, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 20 years in the United States Air Force and then as a geodetic surveyor in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency after 15 years.
Many know him for his great sense of humor, wisdom, warmth, frankness, interest in others and curiosity about the world. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, playing cards, spending time with family and making people laugh. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Teresa, and three children Eileen, Eric and Erwin.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 8:30-9:30 am followed by a funeral service beginning at 9:30 am at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, 123 North A Street, Lompoc, California.
