Sarah Ann Caldwell, was born on January 11, 1908, in Van Zandt, Texas, to Jessie Caldwell and Fannie Mae Clemons. She accepted Christ at a young age.
Sarah married Rufus Manley in her early 20s and together they had a daughter Christine on June 26, 1929. Later Sarah and Christine continued their lives together even after Christine married James T. Williams. This union brought forth two children and Sarah dedicated her life to living with the family.
She departed this life on April 23, 2015, in Lompoc, California. She was preceded in death by her daughter Christine. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted son-in–law James T. Williams, and his significant other Yvonne Wright-Scott; a granddaughter, Gwendolyn Hill; a grandson and his wife, Ricky and Clara Williams; her sister, Mattie Gibson, and her brother Jessie Caldwell, Jr., both of Texas and a host of loving family and friends.
The visitation will be Thursday, April 30, from 4-8pm with the funeral service on Friday, May 1, at 1pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
