With deepest sorrow, the family wishes to announce the death of our beloved Savannah Eileen Janke, 25, of Lompoc, California. Born April 29, 1999, Savannah was a powerhouse of energy and joy. She attended schools in Lompoc, benefiting from her grandmother teaching at the same elementary school she attended. Despite medical challenges in early childhood, she brought that same energy to her adult life.

Savannah had a variety of interests, the greatest of which was her love of animals. She spoke often of following her mother's example and studying veterinary medicine.

Savannah was devoted to her family and especially loved her three little brothers Mason, Miles, and Parker. Her unique bond with Parker was especially important to her. She called him her little "chicken nugget".

So that leaves behind a widespread large family to grieve her loss: her parents, Brandi Janke and Demarcus Freeman; the three aforementioned brothers; grandparents, Nancy and Ralf Bialaß, Jeanne and Stanton Brooks, and Denise and Arthur Mushitz; Aunts and Uncles, Jennifer and Billy Washington, and  Matt and Kelly Zigan; and a multitude of cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice or to your local animal shelter.
