Sharon Darlene Herzig, age 83, passed away peacefully in her bed on July 13, 2025, in Lompoc, California, where she lived and grew up.

Sharon was born on February 2, 1942, in Paso Robles, California, to Lutie and Edwin Haskett. She graduated from Lompoc High School. She later married and adopted two children, Stacey and Sean Herzig. She retired from Lockheed Martin in 2005 with her partner, John Lang. They both moved to Gardnerville, Nevada, where they lived happily for over 10 years. She stood by his side until his passing in 2019.

Sharon is survived by her sister Donna, her daughter Stacey, four grandchildren, Danica, Johnny, Gennine, and Devin, and three great-grandchildren, Veronica, Cove, and Cayden.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Sharon enjoyed her time going on cruises, gardening, watching gory horror films, solving puzzles, camping, and boating. Sharon was very funny and witty; to know her was to love her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on July 28, 2025, from 3-5 PM at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary in Lompoc, California.
