IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharon Lorraine
Lewis
March 9, 1948 – June 23, 2019
Sharon Lewis was born to Melvin and Ruth Beets in Amarillo, Texas on March 9th, 1948. As a baby, Sharon and her family relocated to Alaska. The Beets family then moved to the central coast where they finally resided in Lompoc, CA in 1963. Sharon graduated from De Anza college in San Jose, CA in 1983 where she received her nursing degree. She spent most of her career traveling up to San Jose's O'Connor Hospital then Goleta Valley Hospital where she recently retired. Sharon's knowledge, compassion, and genuineness made her a quick favorite amongst her patients, colleagues, and friends. It was obvious why Sharon chose the path of a nurse; she sincerely cared about the well-being and happiness of all. If anyone were to ask Sharon what made her happiest, though, she would say her children. She loved them so deeply. She is survived by her 4 children, Brian Little, Denise Lewis, Joshua (Eloise) Lewis, and Shelby (Jacob Manahan) Lewis; Her most favorite, her granddaughter, Sophie Manahan, her two sisters, Vivian (Ann Vargas) Beets, Margaret (Steve) Clifton, and a few wonderful nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many surrogate children and grandchildren that love her so much. She will always be remembered for her kindheartedness and no nonsense attitude. She will be so very missed. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 13 th at 12 pm at the top picnic area/gazebo at Beattie Park in Lompoc, CA.
