Shena Louise Winchell passed away at her home with loved ones near on July 9th of 2024. Though gone too soon at the age of 42, Shena will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those who have been fortunate enough to know her over the years.

Those who knew Shena will remember her for her infectious laughter and kindness that touched countless lives. She spent her days doing what she loved most on this earth, being a mom. Shena was always taking trips to the beach, lake and pool with her family. She was passionate about her work as an ICU nurse, always motivating her kids to work hard so they could play hard.

Shena was born on November 16th, 1981 in Torrance, California. She then, after multiple times of moving throughout her childhood, arrived in Lompoc, California her freshman year of high school. She became a mother in the year 2000. Shena was always a determined and intelligent woman who started her nursing career in 2009 after graduating from Allan Hancock College. She has been a wonderful nurse ever since. Shena was the beacon of our family and will always be remembered as such.

Shena is survived by her children: Jillien, Cruz, Kyris, Bella, Luke and Harlow; step children: Samantha, David, Blake, Reese and Abby; her husband David Winchell; numerous family members. She is preceded in death by her parents Dana and Stephanie, brothers Ricky and Dusty, grandmother Doris Winkle and her dog, Swidgen.

Shena's adventurous soul and lively personality will never be forgotten.
