Shirley Jean Rapozo, 79 of Lompoc passed away on March 26th.  She was born on March 11, 1935 in Corder, MO to Charles and Gertrude Johnson.  The family moved to Taft, California making it their home.  In later years she moved to Lancaster and went to work at Edwards A.F.B. as a Civil Service Secretary where she met her future husband Joe.  They were married in 1958 and soon after transferred to Japan.  The family moved to air bases in Tucson, AZ, Amarillo, TX and finally Vandenberg A.F.B.  where Shirley retired after 30 years.  She is survived by her husband Joe Rapozo, sons Tim and David McCrackin (Sharon) and daughter Pamela Rapozo-Jones, brother Ted Johnson (Penny), Sister-in-Law, Arlene Johnson, numerous nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.    She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Curtis and Tommy Johnson, son Tommy Rapozo, nephew Eddie Johnson and granddaughter Christina Ashley.

Services will be held 11a.m. Tuesday April 1, 2014 at Betany Lutheran Church, 135 So. E St.  Lompoc, CA.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Assisted Hospice Foundation 302 N Milpas St, Santa Barbara, CA 93103 in Shirley's memory will be appreciated.
