Obituary
Shirley Jo Young passed away on August 5, 2006 at her home in Lompoc.
Mrs. Young was born to Frank and Clarice Garner Bailey in Los Angeles on October 7, 1930. She Graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1948 and attended college in the Los Angeles area. She was the widow of Alonzo Young of Los Angeles. She worked as the office manager of a Los Angeles car dealership for thirty-five years before moving to Lompoc in 1983.
Surviving family members include her cousin Dennis Garner Springer and his wife Dr. Jennie Springer of Atlanta, Georgia, and cousin Gevena Garner Taylor Chandler and her husband William Chandler of Memphis, Tennessee.
Mrs. Young was buried with her parents and husband at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Van Nuys. Arrangements were under the direction of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
