Socorro Ayala of Lompoc died Sunday, October 25, 2009, at the age of 48.
Socorro was born June 9, 1961, in Santa Barbara to Nasario and Socorro Adame. She was raised in Santa Barbara and attended Dos Pueblos High School. A lifelong homemaker she enjoyed scrap booking. She loved being around her family and friends, and she loved cats.
Socorro is survived by her husband of 21 years Roger Ayala of Lompoc, her daughter and son-in-law Irma and Brian Cruz of Eagle Mountain, Utah, daughter Annali Ayala of Lompoc, her parents, her brothers Ralph and Pedro Adame, sisters Berta and Connie Adame, all of Santa Barbara, grandson Keanu Cruz, numerous nephews and nieces including Amy and James "Spike" Fletcher, and her godchildren Tyler and Hailey Fletcher. Her brother Tony Adame preceded her in death.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, October 28, from 4-7 pm with the vigil service at 5 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. Father John Fitzgerald will celebrate the mass of Christian burial on Thursday, October 29, at 10 am at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Mission Hills. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment.
