Socorro Navarrete Rios of Lompoc died Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the age of 85.

Socorro was born June 27, 1935, in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.  A resident of Lompoc since 1980, she was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed every aspect of home life.

Socorro was preceded in death by her husband Martin De la Cruz.  She is survived by her 11 children, Hector and Ramon De la Cruz of Lompoc, Cruz, Eduardo, Leonardo, Patricia, Griselda and Anna De la Cruz of Mexico, Alejandra, Maria I. and Maria S. De la Cruz also of Lompoc.  She is also survived by 50 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.

The visitation will be Thursday, July 16, from 4-7pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.  The graveside funeral service will be Friday, July 17, at 11am in the pavilion of the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
