Solidad Tanodra Masicampo, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home in Vandenberg Village, California, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, finally succumbing to kidney failure with which she had been struggling for almost a year.

She was born on March 24th, 1936 to Gregoria Quisagan and Augustine Dela Calsada in Wailuku, Maui. She grew up and went to school on the island of Lanai.

On May 18th, 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, Mariano Masicampo. They had five children: Mark, Gina, Martin, Michael, and Tommy.

She worked as a telephone operator and as a cashier while raising her 5 children, and loved to sing in various church and community choirs. She played ukulele, was in bowling leagues, enjoyed going to the Casino, played Bingo whenever she could, and in her later years, just loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

"Soli" is survived by her brothers: John Tanodra and Ralph Dela Calsada, her children: Mark Masicampo, Gina Umipig, (and husband, Frank), Martin Masicampo, (and wife, Jackie), Michael Masicampo, and Tommy Masicampo, her grandchildren: Malia Eigelbach, (and Austin), Rachel Masicampo, (and Charlie), Kulani Masicampo, (and Luke), Kaili Masicampo, (and Alex), Monty Masicampo, Isaac Masicampo, (and Samantha), Angelena Masicampo, (and Justin), Kaipo Masicampo, (and Keri), Malia Ulloa, (and Wesley), Shane Galvin, Kady Galvin, (and Clay), Summer Galvin, Connor Galvin, and her great grandchildren: Liliana, Waylon, Noah, Kaden, Layla, Amber, Wesley, Kai, Sunny, Luna, Roland, Lincoln and Kaz.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Mariano Masicampo, her sisters: Constance Del Rosario, Consing Miranda, and Donna Willingham, brothers: Val Tanodra, Vincent Tanodra, and Victor Timbreza.

The Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 10am at La Purisma Catholic Church, 213 W Olive Ave, Lompoc, California.

Followed by burial at 12pm at Lompoc Cemetery, 600 South C Street, Lompoc, California.

The reception will be held after burial at Events Mission Valley at 1pm, 138 North B Street, Lompoc, California. (behind Starbuck-Lind Mortuary).
