Obituary

Susan Michelle Gies passed away on January 7, 2018 at the age of 58. She was born in Lockney, Texas to Clifton "Mac" and Mildred McPeak on September 13, 1959. She was raised in Texas where she graduated High School. She moved to Los Angeles in 1985 to pursue a career in music, film, modeling, and entertainment. Susan enjoyed a successful career. She traveled with a dance group for many years and she played roles in movies such as Ford Fairlane and Roadhouse. She also played a role in several music videos along with many other accomplishments.

Susan returned to Texas in 1995 and married James Gies in 1997. They traveled to Colorado and the Air Force finally brought James and Susan to Lompoc in 2000. Susan tended bar at the Lompoc Elks Lodge #2274. She also bartended at the NCO club and golf course at Vandenberg for several years..

Susan's passion was always family; especially her grand children. She brought so much joy to everyone and touched all our lives. Susan's passion's also included music and literature. She was an extraordinary musician, lyricist, and vocalist as well as an author. She wrote many songs and produced a few of them with her son Ken. She also wrote and registered a screen play and was always an avid reader.

Susan is survived by her husband James Gies; children, Kenneth Pellizzari, Tracy Pellizzari, and grandchildren Izabella Pellizzari, and Dominic Pellizzari of Lompoc. She is also survived by her mother Mildred Kinsey of Burbank, and sisters Billie Massey of Burbank and Paula Vaughn of Lompoc.

Susan touched the lives of everyone around her. Her family is very proud of her and will always remember her as a wonderful wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a super hero to us all.

Susan was preceded in death by her father Clifton McPeak and brother Michael.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday January 20 at 4pm at the Lompoc Elks Lodge.
