TERESA FUCHALA
1933 - 2008
Teresa Fuchala of Lompoc died Monday, October 20, 2008, at the age of 74.
Teresa was born on December 1, 1933, to Sakuichi and Kameno Monda in Formosa, China, which was later known as Taiwan. Teresa was married to John Fuchala for 49 years. Teresa and John had the unique experience of having three wedding ceremonies: an embassy, Japanese Shinto, and a Catholic service. Due to health reasons, Teresa and John were not able to have children of their own but did adopt a son, George. She was very proud of her brilliant son, a dean's list graduate of Cal Poly in Engineering.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, John, a resident of Lompoc, and her son George of San Clemente, California, as well as the family dog, Ben.
Cremation will be followed by a time of remembrance at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary on Monday, October 27, 2008, from 4 to 6 pm, with a graveside service at the Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery pavilion on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at 11:30 am.
