Terry Jackson passed away on March 13, 2012. He was 56. He fought a 1-1/2 year battle with cancer. He was born in Charleston, North Caroline to Charles and Dorothy Jackson. His family moved to Lompoc during his childhood when his father was transferred to Vandenberg Air Force Base. Terry graduated from Lompoc Senior High School and attended Allan Hancock College where he excelled on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams, winning multiple medals. He worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter and as a fire prevention officer. After his retirement from the U.S. Forest Service, he went to work for the Lompoc Unified School District where he retired in February 2012.

He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Overland, in 1981. They lived in Ojai and Lake Piru for a few years before moving back to Lompoc.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, their two children, Jessica and Scott, his sister Lillian, and his two brothers, Charles and James. His parents preceded him in death.

There will be a wake in his honor on Saturday, March 17th from 2-4pm at 917 North N Place, Lompoc, CA. Please join the family to reminisce about Terry and celebrate his life.
