Mr. Thaddis Leon Butler passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010, at the age of 47. He was born March 27, 1962 to Troy Lynn Matthews and Melba Jean Butler. Together he was their only son.

Born in Texas and raised in Santa Barbara since the age of five, Thaddis attended church and local schools such as Santa Barbara City College and the Academy of Music. He had many passions but working on his cars and playing classical music on the piano were some of his favorites. He was also a tremendously creative and professional finisher who traveled extensively.

Thaddis showed many acts of kindness to others. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Melba Butler, his children DeVaris Treyvaur Anderson-Butler and Taraemi S. Butler, his wife Eleanor Yvonne Forte of Lompoc, the mother and grandmother of his children Deniese Anderson and Jesse King. Also he leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, friends and last but not least, his ex girlfriend of 13 years Linda Jamison of Santa Barbara.

The memorial service will be on Friday, April 9, 2010, at 2 pm in the chapel of the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, 123 North A Street in Lompoc.
