Thelma "Maxine" Wells was born October 23, 1942 in Colorado. She lived in Colorado, Kansas, Arizona and traveled and lived in Germany, Greece. She passed away on September 8, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.

Maxine loved her crossing guard job and the joy the children brought her. She also enjoyed playing dominoes, going on cruises and going to Jaspers to hang out with her many friends.
She is survived by her children; Vicky Swartz (Mark), Larry Vaughn (Michael Swanner), Tim (Annie)Vaughn.; her grandchildren Tina Linderholm, Sonja Janos, Lynn (Cody) Eden, Tamera (Anthony) Hernandez, Michael Slonakar, Daniel (Joleen) Slonakar and six great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her four-legged companion "Wyatt". She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and her brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father Cliffford Well's and her mother Mary Carter.

There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Maxine's name
