Theresa Catherine Berard of Lompoc, passed away on March 23rd, 2026, in her home. She was 91 years young. Theresa was born of John and Josephine Peters of Reading, Massachusetts. She was raised in Reading with her three sisters and three brothers. Theresa joined the Air Force, then known as an auxiliary of the Army Air Corps, at the age of 19. She married the love of her life, George Berard, in August of 1953 in Sacramento, CA and they embarked on a 23-year Air Force journey, settling together in Lompoc in 1974. Theresa retired from Allan Hancock College as a tutor coordinator. Theresa was known around town for her involvement in the quilting guild. She enjoyed attending exercise classes at the senior center, was a member of the Elks ladies’ auxiliary group and La Purisima parish.

Theresa is survived by her 10 children, Catherine (Don) Abell, Thomas (Janet) Berard, Andrew (Debbie) Berard, Jannette (Mike) Entsminger, Mike (Lara) Berard, Alice Berard (Chris Lambert), Elizabeth (Gary) Hill, Pauline (Keith) Imano, Edward (Deborah) Berard, and Eric (Karla) Berard, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, her brother Reginald (Marilyn) Peters and sister Rose Brady. She was preceded in death by her husband George (2011), her parents and four siblings.

Please join the family for viewing at Starbuck Lind Mortuary Chapel from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on March 29th. Mass will be celebrated at La Purisima Church on March 30th at 8:30 am. She will be interred at the Lompoc District Cemetery.
