Obituary
Thomas O. Engelhardt, 88, affectionally known as "MR TOE" of Lompoc, California passed away at home on April 22, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born June 27, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Otto H. Engelhardt and Jean Johnson. He married Linda Banks in 1958 and they traveled the United States during his Air Force Career.
Thomas earned a bachelor's degree from University of Arizona, a master from the University of New Hampshire and a bachelor's degree from La Verne University.
He was proud to be a life member of the Elks, past president of MOAA and Manager of the Year for ITT. He served 20 years with the Air Force, 21 years with ITT and numerous years as a faithful volunteer in the Lompoc Hospital Pharmacy.
Thomas is survived by his wife Linda, son Peter (Dawn) of Stockton, California, daughter MariAnna (Don) of Preston, Connecticut, grandchildren, sister Nancy Westover and sister-in-law Nancy Engelhardt. He was preceded in death by son Paul and brother Jack.
Services will be held at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Private interment will be held at a later day. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lompoc Valley Fallen Warriors Memorial Project, P.O. Box 656, Lompoc, California 93438.
His family would like to thank Hospice for their wonderful care.
