Thomas Allen Neely, a long-time resident of Lompoc California, was called home on June 24, 2022. He was born in West Point, Mississippi.  After graduating from high school, he attended College and then enlisted in the US Air Force where he made a 24-year career.  Thomas retired as a Master Sargent in 1979.  However, he flunked retirement because he just couldn't sit around the house.  So, he went back to work for Martin Marietta for another 18 years.  Flunking retirement once again, he went to work for ITT Industries for 2 years.  Mr. Neely was a member of the Space Travelers camping club.  He loved to go fishing and boating and was an avid storyteller.

During the early years of his military service, he met and married the love of his life, Mildred Williams.  From this union came 3 daughters, Phyllis Sears, Colette Wylie (Michael), and Sharon McWhorter.  Prior to this union, Thomas fathered 3 children, Drustella, Thomas, and Betty (Deceased).

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Missouri, and 3 brothers, Robert Jr, Roy Lee, and James. He leaves to mourn 2 sisters, Robbie Jones and Erie Wilson, his wife of 63 years Mildred, 4 daughters, 1 son, 5 grandchildren, Patrice, Aaron Jr, Michelle'le, Shantal, Chamira, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 11 am at True Vine Bible Fellowship Church, 533 Avalon St # A, Lompoc, CA 93436.
