IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Franklin
Rudolph
June 24, 1942 – June 11, 2023
Thomas F. Rudolph, 80, of Lompoc, Ca., peacefully passed away on June 11, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with dementia.
Tommy (as all his friends and co-workers knew him) was born on June 24, 1942, to Dorothy and Richard Rudolph in the beautiful town of Lompoc, Ca. After graduating from Lompoc High School in 1960, he joined the Army Reserve, his duty location was at Fort Ord, California. Soon after he followed in his father's footsteps and was employed at Johns Manville, where he worked for many years.
Tom (as his wife and family called him) retired after 42 years at JM (known as Celite at the time of his retirement). While retired, he had a new-found love for golf, which he did as often as possible. Along with golf, he enjoyed camping and fishing, going to Hayes Ranch to shoot his guns, watching his grandson play basketball and football, and his granddaughter strive to earn her ever-increasing belts in Kempo Karate. He also loved tinkering in the garage, creating new projects, trying to figure out how to replicate something he saw and liked at a craft show or in a magazine. He spent his life working with his hands and creating amazing projects and memories with his family. He was always willing to help friends and family with fixing their cars, doing electrical work, building furniture, anything that was needed, he was there to help. Give you the shirt off his back kind of guy and we will miss him every single day. As hard as it is, his belief in Jesus gives us an assurance that his last breath on earth was his first breath in the presence of Jesus in Heaven and we will see him again, together for eternity.
Tom (Tommy) was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Richard, his infant son Tommy, and his brother John. He is survived by his loving wife Judy Rudolph, daughters Yvette (Darrin) Hellen and Teresa (John) Maddox, son Brad (Jennifer) Rudolph, Grandkids: Tori (Adison) Loving, and TJ (Korie) Rudolph, Great Granddaughter Sidhi Loving, Brother Jim (Helen) Rudolph, and Nephew Richard (Johnna) Rudolph.
At his request, no services will be held. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be in Tom's name to A Wing (Garden Unit) at Lompoc Skilled Nursing, Attn: Diane Flowers.
