Tillie G. Melendrez
1948-2008
Tillie Greco Melendrez, age 59 of Lompoc, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008. A lifelong resident of Lompoc, Tillie graduated Lompoc High and attended Santa Barbara City College. She was a member of La Purisima Concepcion Catholic Church and worked for 35 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Central Supply Technician.
Tillie loved her family, and her favorite way to spend her time was with her grandson, Benjamin. She is survived by her mother, Josephine Greco, daughter and son-in-law Sylvia Melendrez and Rudy Rios, and her grandson Benjamin Rios. She was preceded in death by her father, Ciro Greco, her husband, Benjamin Melendrez, Sr., and her son, Benjamin Melendrez, Jr.
Visitation will take place Friday, April 25, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Chapel. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at La Purisima Concepcion Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Tom George. The burial will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
