Tilly Espino Gutierrez, 74 years old, passed away on January 7, 2017 in Lompoc, CA at her home with family by her side. She was the wife of David Gutierrez and they shared 57 years of marriage together.

Tilly was born on December 5th 1942 in Lompoc, Ca. she was the daughter of Pete H. and Mercedes Espino. She graduated from Lompoc High School, class of 1960, where she met and would later marry her high school sweetheart, David. She spent the next three years caring for her two daughters, Terri and Tina before becoming employed at bank of America for 21 years.

She was a member of The Lompoc High School Alumni Association, and was on the planning committee for the 1960 class reunion. She also volunteered as a poll worker, inspector, and vote center coordinator for county of Santa Barbara elections division. She enjoyed activities such as; crocheting, reading, playing bunco, and camping. She cherished attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events as well as her outings with "the girls" (her childhood friends.)

She is survived by spouse David Gutierrez, brothers Benny Contreras, and Pete J. (Sandy) Espino Lompoc, Richard (Patti) Espino, Fountain Valley, Gilbert (Jackie) Espino, Hemet, her sister Alice Calvillo, Monterey Park, her daughters Terri (Simon) Brandt and Tina (Mark) Pata, Lompoc, her grandchildren Jannelle Howerton, Kristina Grasser, Danielle Rangel, Lucas Brandt, Lompoc, and Aerielle Schroth, Orland, her great grandchildren Kilee, Kiera, Tristan, Kendall and Hunter, Lompoc. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and sister-in- law Alice Contreras.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 10 am at La Purisima Catholic Church.
