TIMOTHY M. TIMMONS
1948-2008
Timothy Michael Timmons, age 60, passed away suddenly at his home in Lompoc on Saturday, July 12, 2008.
He was born on May 23, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland to Mary C. Timmons and the late Kenneth L. Timmons. He married his high school sweetheart Rita Carol Johnson on July 1, 1966 and they recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. He was employed by Celite Corporation as a heavy equipment operator for 42 years.
Tim's life ended doing what he loved best, working on cars. He was an avid Corvette enthusiast and past president of the Lompoc Valley Vettes. He enjoyed participating in area car shows and road rallies. He was a devoted family man, always caring for his family first. He coached his son's soccer team and lived for his weekends at home with his family and taking his dog, Molly, to the park. He enjoyed making and collecting car models and memorabilia.
Tim is survived by his mother Mary C. Timmons, wife Rita Timmons, daughter Lynette Timmons, son and daughter-in-law Kenny and Kristen Timmons, and grandchildren Ashley Fail, Breanna Timmons, Kaitlin Minyard, Zakary, Tyler and Koby Timmons.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
