1943 – 2009
Tommy Thomas of Lompoc died Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at the age of 65.
Tommy was born September 3, 1943 in Los Angeles, and raised and educated in Long Beach. He worked for many years as a machinist with Virnel Machine Shop in Signal Hill. Formerly of Santa Barbara he has been a resident of Lompoc for the last 20 years where he was involved in the collecting and selling of sports memorabilia.
Tommy is survived by his daughter and her husband Angie and Paul Manning of Idaho Falls, Idaho, four grandchildren, Paige, Shae, Kylee and Cody, sisters and their husbands Diane and Jim Pruitt of Paradise, Linda and Tillmon Summer of Mohave Valley, Arizona, Susan Thomas of Paradise, Joyce and James Hargrove of Yucca Valley, brother Charles Thomas and wife Ramalia of Cerritos,and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Friday, January 9, 2009, from 3 to 7 pm at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary. The funeral service will be on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 3 pm in the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary chapel. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
