IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Toni Jean
(Wuitschick) Salas
June 3, 1963 – August 8, 2025
Toni Jean "Wuitschick" Salas was born on June 3, 1963, in Norwalk, California, to Arlys and Richard Wuitschick. On August 8, 2025, at the age of 62, she passed peacefully in her sleep at home in Lompoc, California, with her devoted husband, companion, and caretaker, Jeffery Patterson, by her side.
After much thoughtful reflection on how best to honor Toni's life, it became clear that her story wasn't defined by the good times or the challenges she faced—whether physical or emotional. What truly defined her was something simple, quiet, and deeply beautiful, known only to a few, but cherished most by her husband, Jeffery: her unwavering love for her daughters. They were her world, her joy, and the truest reflection of who she was.
Toni held her daughters, Samantha and Megan, close in her heart. She spoke of them often—with tenderness, with pride, and with a mother's quiet devotion. Toni's grief for Megan was oceanic. Every day, in the living room, she played My Heart Will Go On, tears falling as the music carried her back to memories too sacred to speak aloud. The song became her ritual, her prayer, her way of keeping Megan close.
But Toni also wanted to make something crystal clear: she loved Samantha deeply. That love was steady, present, and spoken in countless small ways. She carried hope for Samantha's happiness and pride in the woman she had become.
In those moments, Toni wasn't just mourning—she was loving. Loving Megan with every breath she had left. Loving Samantha with every hope she still held. Her heart, though broken, never stopped going on."
Toni is survived by her husband, Jeffery Patterson of Lompoc, CA; her daughter, Samantha Bloomer of Las Vegas, NV; and her grandson, Tristen Bloomer. She is also survived by her siblings: Terri (Louis) Rockvam of Louisiana, Gary (Teresa) Wuitschick of Lompoc, CA, and Greg (Dolly) Wuitschick of Lompoc, CA. Her legacy continues through five nieces and nephews and two great-nephews: Aimee Rockvam and her sons, Chris and Joshua; Cheyenne and Gregory II Wuitschick; and Shelby and Ashley Wuitschick.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wuitschick (1977); her mother, Arlys Wuitschick (2010); and her beloved daughter, Megan Bradley (2021).
While Toni will be deeply missed by her family and friends, we take comfort in knowing she has journeyed on to a place of peace and love, embraced by God's grace. There, she is reunited with her daughter Megan, her parents, and other cherished loved ones who went before her.
