Obituary

Our beloved son, Tyler Dane Warren passed away peacefully at home on the morning of February 19, 2016. His lifelong struggle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is now over. We are eternally grateful to our Heavenly Father for allowing us the privilege of having Tyler as a member of our family.

Tyler was born in the Lompoc Hospital on September 18, 1995 and lived his entire life in this valley. He attended Buena Vista and Los Berros elementary schools, Vandenberg Middle School, and in 2014 he earned a high school diploma through home school. Tyler is also a Seminary Graduate and an endowed Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Tyler learned to have great faith in Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. He has had many teachers, leaders and friends who have inspired him throughout his life.

Tyler was always happy, even though this muscle disease caused him to be in a wheelchair at a young age, earning him the nickname: Smiler Tyler. He loved Legos, video games, WWII history, Russia, all things Star Wars, movies, cowboy boots (when he could walk), pizza and chicken strips, art, good music, even a little bit of politics. He was an avid defender of the constitution. One of his most memorable days was the day that the Make-a-Wish Foundation made it possible for him to meet and have lunch with Mr. T the movie star.

Tyler is survived by his father, Dr. Jeffrey A. Warren, D.D.S. and his mother, Rebecca Ann Burnham Warren. He is also survived by his three brothers, Garrett, Jason (Samantha), and Blake who also has DMD.

A Memorial service will be held on March 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Mesa Oaks Ward building of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints located at 212 E. Central Ave., Lompoc, CA.
