Tyree Eugene Sims-McPherson was born in Lompoc, CA. on May 17, 1993, Tyree would have been 30 years old today. He was born to Cornelius McPherson and Latoya Sims but raised and mothered by his auntie mom Cece. Tyree went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Thomas Eugene "ET" Sims, his aunties Darla and Jeanna, uncle Joe and his beloved auntie mom Cassandra.

Tyree truly believed in the Lord and was one of God's chosen. He never hesitated of felt ashamed of his love for God. To know him was to love him. Everything about him was pure and genuine regardless of the challenges that life threw at him. Tyree was a graduate of Cabrillo High School Class of 2012, which was a milestone he achieved against all odds. He was a member of ROTC and participated in the football program. Tyree was very excited about his journey and becoming a member of True Vine Bible Fellowship where he befriended Pastor James Earl Cray. He was so intrigued and elated to be worshipping with a man of God who understood him completely. Tyree was such an avid Lakers fan you would have thought he was on the payroll. He was very competitive in everything he did including his title "DJ Throwback". He made a point to enlighten everyone that Jesus was coming back and that we needed to get our lives in order. Certainly, without a doubt, we know Tyree went home to be with the Lord and all of his loved ones whom we are certain welcomed him with open arms.

He will forever be missed and remembered by his parents, grandmother, siblings, aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close family and friends.

He will forever be loved and missed.

A funeral service will be held at Trinity Church of the Nazarene 500 East North Avenue, Lompoc, CA on May 17, 2023, at 1 pm.
